Amazon.com Product Description
Amazon.com Product Description Set it on a desk or mount it on a wall--this is one TV that won't dominate the living room, bedroom, or kitchen with a bulky frame or excessive girth. Samsung's LTN1735 flat-panel TV offers a native image resolution of 640 x 480, enhanced by a high (600:1) contrast ratio, an exceptional peak brightness of 450 candles/square meter, and wide (170 degrees vertical/horizontal) viewing angles. Its lamp life is rated a 60,000 hours for years of entertainment.

The LTN1535W's digital comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt).

The television sports stereo speakers with 3 watts audio power per channel, as well as five sound modes and five picture modes so you can tailor the sound to your room or program (choose from standard, music, speech, movie, and custom for sound and dynamic, standard, movie, custom, or auto for picture modes).

Samsung’s LCD TV offers precise digital pictures without errors, thanks to its 100% digital mechanism. In addition to stable and digital processing, the LCD TV's constant progressive scan is easy on the eyes. It produces an ultra-stable and smooth image without flickering and guarantees the picture-perfect quality of HDTV. And Samsung uses the enhanced TFT panel-PVA (plus viewing angle) for an improved viewing angle and contrast ratio.

Wide viewing angle
You can enjoy watching TV from a variety of angles and distances--170 degrees horizontally and vertically. Now, every seat is the best seat in the house.

High brightness
Samsung’s LCD TVs are designed to have remarkable brightness. You won't believe your eyes when you see how pictures can be so vividly presented on the screen.

High contrast ratio
The bigger this ratio is, the greater the contrast between black and white. Consequently, a high contrast ratio guarantees an abundant palette of perfect colors. For watching movies or videos with color-rich images, Samsung’s LCD TVs are the perfect choice.

Premium home theater
With Samsung's LCD TV, you're well on your way to creating your own premium home theater. With DNIe, PVA, and a host of other state-of-the-art technologies and features, you will always have a picture-perfect view. On the audio side, this TV is equipped with 5.1 channel Dolby Digital surround sound and Dolby Pro Logic II for magnificent sound that will heighten your home theater experience. All you have to do is add speakers to complete your premium home theater experience.

DTV and DVD compatible
LCD TV offers two digital component input slots for DTVs and DVDs. It processes diverse digital signals including 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i, and transmits high-definition pictures.

PC-display compatible
Samsung’s LCD TV can function as a high-resolution PC monitor and a high-end TV without any sacrifice in picture quality. This TV allows the flexibility and practicality of both a perfect PC monitor and home entertainment system.

No radiation or static electricity
We are exposed to electromagnetic radiation from many electronic goods, but LCD TVs emit no harmful radiation. Samsung’s LCD TVs are designed with your safety in mind. And when you clean up the house, how often do you find powdery dust on your TV screen? With Samsung's LCD TVs, you won't have the hassle of wiping dust off the screen because our static-free LCD TVs do not attract dust.

Long lamp life
All LCD TVs are powered by a light source at the back of the screen known as a "lamp." Samsung’s LCD TVs have lamps that last over 60,000 hours. Now you can enjoy this incredible TV longer.

Power saving
Power efficiency is one of the attractive features of LCD TVs. Securing maximum performance, LCD TVs consume the lowest power, two-thirds of that of CRT TVs. Samsung’s LCD TVs are environment-friendly TVs.

Ergonomic GUI and remote control
We've taken even the smallest details into consideration to enhance your convenience. Samsung's LCD TVs come with a smart user interface and remote control.

For connections, the set offers an interlaced (480i) component-video input and one each composite-video, S-video, and standard RF (for older VCRs and cable boxes). A headphone jack allows private listening. Other features include closed captioning, auto channel setup, channel labeling, and a clock with sleep and power-on timers.

What's in the Box
LCD TV, power cord, remote control, remote batteries (two AAA), and user's manual.

I didn't expect that this Samsung LCD TV is so great. It is just a surprise. It is great looking and everything is so easy to set up and use. picture quality super, audio great, size perfect, ... I like this TV so much that I would like to recommend it to everyone who is looking for an LCD TV. It's not that expensive too, as compared with other brands. The one that I got is used. But nothing wrong so far as 2 months have passed.

When I used the composite video cables, I don't like the quality very much though still impressive. So I ordered the monster COMPONENT VIDEO CABLE FROM AMAZON and plugged it to watch a DVD--JET LI's HERO---WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing picture quality!!!! I haven't seen such a clear picture before, not even the higher resolution and more expensive LCD TVs. Totally amazing. Seriously, the TV picture is good though probably not as crytal as a tube TV but for movies, absolutely better. Everything is so easy to use. No front video or audio jacks. No panel cover. Haven't found any weaknesses so far. I think it would be a great one. I also like the Sharp Aquos B4U. I don't agree with the previous reviewer: the reviewer says the Samsung is much better than Aquos--in fact, I think they are about the same; but it is true that Aquos' speakers are a little weak and unclear. But for picture, about the same. Aquos was once my favorite.

I saw several LCD TVs but I think this Samsung LTN 1735 is the best I have seen so far. Well, I became interested in the LCD TVs under the influence of some of my friends who own theirs. It just saves space and energy plus other advantages. I previous had the Sharp LC-20B4US but sold it to my friend for I wasn't quite happy with it. There is nothing wrong with the Sharp but just don't like the picture qualities. My friends own Sharp LC-20E1U too and it is not very good either. At least I was not impressed by their picture quality and audio.
Now I've had this Samsung for 5 months and am satisfied with it. It is especially nice sitting on my bedroom desk. Big enough for me. No problem with it so far. I think the picture quality and stereo audio system of this Samsung is slightly better than the Sharp(and Panasonic TLA and Toshiba 20VL43U 20 too, I saw them in my friends' houses). I like the component video input which gives super dvd quality! Remote is easy to use. Sound is nearly perfect. I think Batesias' VMT SEEMS better in PC picture quality.
