This system is a good addition to a Samsung Touch Of Color television and complements it nicely. The sound is richer and more true to life than sound directly from my TV (Samsung 850 LCD model), although the sound is not as good as some more expensive av systems I looked at in a store. But, for me it is good enough and the price is right. The unit does seem to be designed for wall mounting and when placed flat in a TV stand you can't see the LCD display without getting up from your chair and walking over to the unit, which is annoying. However, the unit can stand upright on a shelf if your shelving has the space for it.

I bought this item from Amazon for a great price $316. This is a great small home theater system. The quality is superb. Performace is great and easy connections. The only draw back it has is rear speaker connection you think every part will be included but the box does not have a wireless rear speaker connection system which you have to buy separately (SWA-4000) for another $100. Samsung HT-X715T 5.1 Channel Bluetooth Home Theater System is good for small rooms (20x16)

Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5 Great Sound Systems - Modern Look, 2009-03-21
A powerful sound systems, easy set up, video could be a little bit better! I integrated it with other Samsung products of HDTV and Blue Ray (yes). The remote control design needs improvement - key arrangements and function. Get the wireless rear speaker card, which it is a kind of expensive, however, I got the sound system at a really good price. Oh, yes! please hang the player unit on the wall, the display design shall stand out with a very modern look, especially with a wall mounted Samsung HDTV (ln52a750). It is a completely different approach to lay out electronic equipements at home. One nagative, the disc loading dock, no cover and mounted vertically, could pick up dust and screws up the player if you are not careful.

My disappointment of the optical lens failure after few months in use was overcome by SAMYSUNG's latest customer service/repair center excellent performance. The proudct returned on a Monday and finshed the same week and I got it back on the same week Friday. The whole process is so so so smooth. SONY's repair is SUCK in comparsion.

I have my Xbox 360 hooked up to my tv via HDMI. My tv outputs via optical to the Samsung. This saves me the cost of an additional expensive xbox cable. I have this in a small 10 x 10 room. The sound rocks and is great for surround-sound games. Perfect amount of power, would be disturbing the neighbors if I wanted more.

Looks very sleek and sexy, a real treat for fans of modern black furnishings.

DVD interface looks pixellated and clunky, but it works.

Rear speaker transmitter should be standard and is definitely a shortcoming.

Bluetooth capability hasn't been tried out yet, but is a welcome addition.

USB port is great, I've tested it out with DIVX/XVID files and playback is smooth.

Subwoofer would benefit from an adjustment knob on the actual sub, instead of having to change the boost power in the settings menu.

Not sure if it has one, but it would be great to have an auto shutoff feature to conserve energy and product life.
