I travel a lot, so having a product that is light and easy to transport is very valuable to me. I also take a lot of pictures (as many as 1200 frame a day) and go through a lot of batteries. Consequently, I need a multiple chargers. This product fits my needs perfectly. I can even charge between locations using the DC cord while traveling in an automobile.

This charger works ok, I haven't tried with genuine canon battery, but with a compatible non canon battery it charges it full for a few hours. No issue of any kind.

Nothing fancy here . . . the charger works. Batteries fit with no problem. Nothing much to add -- bought it to have a backup to take on the road and this is it. The car adapter is a nice extra.

Recently I somehow managed to displace the battery charger for my Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black), and when I contacted local camera stores in search of replacement I was shocked with the price - I was told that it would cost $60. I decided to check out if they had that or similar products on Amazon, and sure enough I found plenty of options. I was equally surprised to find a few chargers, such as this one, that cost only a few $$. I was at first skeptical, but after reading the positive reviews I figured out that even if the product didn't work out as I had hoped the "damage" to my wallet would be minimal. It also helped that this charger comes with a car adapter, so in a sense I am getting two products.

The charger arrived quickly in the mail. Even though the manufacturing quality is not as good as the original Canon one, the product looks and feels solid enough. The battery does not fit as snuggly as with the original charger either, but then again it is not a big issue. The charger is a bit larger than I had expected, but not so much that it wouldn't fit into the dedicated camera bag pocket where I usually keep it. The battery charged quickly, pretty much as well as with the original charger, although I don't usually time these things. The car adapter worked as advertised - now I don't have to worry about not having my camera charged when I go on road trips.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product and will probably get a spare one very soon.

Bought this charger after my wife mistakenly tossed out the Canon charger that came with our camera. Unfortunately, this charger fried my Canon battery. According to Canon, they will not honor their warranty if you use a non-canon charger. Two calls to Amazon's customer service department were futile as they simply parroted Canon's statement.

A visit to a real camera store to buy a decent charger and a new battery set me back $100. So buyer beware, the ultimate price of this charger is 20x the listed price.
