 Hugely Disappointed, 2010-06-22
I bought this after playing the COD World at War demo. The first few missions were ok. The next few missions let you know why it was considered the game of the year. There were some more missions then it just ended. Bought this game on a Saturday early afternoon. Played most the rest of Saturday, half of Sunday and about an hour Monday morning and it was over, done, finished. Other than that it's great. Urban Warfare. Some tough situations and scenarios, but wayyyy toooo short.
If you have a PS3 you have to own this one, 2010-07-07
Buy it now, also, buy World at War and ModernWarfare 2. All 3 are 1,2,3 as the best FPS PS3 games ever put out. I would say that this one right here is probably my favorite of all even with its flaws.

I am very glad that the Call of Duty Franchise went in this direction, WWII was starting to get old.
I played Modern Warfare 2 before playing the 1st one, i still think MW2 is better in many ways, mainly CO-OP Missions, so its really fun to play with friends. The story in MW2 is also better.
In modern Warfare you cannot play Co-op, but the multiplayer is more fun because the maps are way smaller.
I dont regret buying it, and i think you wont either.

The single player scenario is kind of short, and you can only play vs. mode with your friends via online and split screen (no co-op mode). 1080 resolution is also not really true, as the normal resolution for the game is 720, and 1080 mode merely stretches the 720, which does not increase the quality of the image at all.
