Amazon.com Product Description
Ideal for outdoor activities, long road or backpacking trips, and any other extended period when a power source might be several hours (or days) away, this backup iPod battery pack keeps your music flowing throughout the afternoon and night. The pack connects to your iPod's 30-pin dock connector, with a built-in clip keeping it securely attached to your belt. Once attached, the backup battery unit delivers an extra 15 to 20 hours of playing time, far more than the iPod's integrated rechargeable battery. I bought this in mid-Feb, received in late Feb, used maybe once a week until the last couple days. You know how sometimes a badly treated wire goes bad so it only works when you hold or kink it just so? Well, that's what happened to this, except I treated the wire like a king, very gentle, precisely because I was afraid of it going bad. And now it's bad and useless after under 3 months. Of course it's too late to return it. What is it with iPod accessories that they go bad so quickly? I really want to buy another one because in all other respects this battery pack was just great, but I don't want to because this really didn't last as long as it should have under the gentle treatment I gave it.

Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5 Does not work with Touch 3g, 2010-05-25
Shipping was very fast, put the 4 AA batteries in, My Ipod Touch 3G was at about 90% discharged, plugged it in, Ipod Touch gave me a message that it is not a support accessory. Called Amazon, they quickly sent me a return label. Still searching for a good solution that uses disposable batteries that work with the IPod Touch 3G.

If anyone knows of a good solution please comment. Thanks

This is a simple, easy to use device that adds many hours of play time to your iPod using 4 standard AA batteries. I bought it because I will be traveling to Europe in September and want to be able to view movies and listen to music without concern for battery life and this seemed like the ticket. The small amount I've used it already shows me that it's just what I wanted. If after traveling, I see any problems, I'll come back and revise this review.
