The Griffin 9501-TRIPCB is the most versatile iTrip to date, accommodating every dock connector iPod, including the iPod nano and fifth-generation iPod videos. The iTrip Auto uses the audio line out from the iPod's dock connector and optimizes the output volume, allowing speaker volume to be controlled solely from the car stereo controls, without having to adjust the iPod's volume level. The Griffin iTrip Auto is constructed with a built-in FM stereo antenna and a high-stability crystal oscillator with phase-lock loop control. The 9501-TRIPCB is powered by an included 12-volt cigarette lighter power adapter that features an easily replaceable fuse through which it also charges your iPod. Don't waste your $$$, 2010-07-14
Don't waste your time or money with Griffin or any of their products. I've given their products several chances and every time they've let me down. Constant static and eventually after only a few months, quit working altogether. Maybe I've just had bad luck but I'm done with their products.
WORKS WELL, 2010-07-06
The one that I recieved wasn't the one that I ordered. My daughter broke my first one that I had which was the best one I have used so I ordered a new one. I didn't want one of the newer models with smartscan. But instead of getting the all black ones pictured I recieved one of the black and silver ones with smartscan. The reception is just as good but the overall design is bulkier and it will randomly change channels on me sometimes. I am mostly satisfied with the product but again, it is not the model I ordered. It does however charge my iPod Touch and my old one didn't.

Depending on youre car's audio. Depends how good it will work! Finding a open station can be challenging and down right difficult. It seems to be the best in it's class. Very easy to set up. Yes, plug and play not plug and pray!

Good while it lasted, 2010-07-31
I bought this product from Amazon 2 years ago. It is pretty good quality for an FM transmitter. I was very disappointed when it started falling apart though. I didn't abuse the product. The black casing around the wires started ripping so that the wires were exposed. One wire became severed. Tried to fix with electrical tape...didn't work. The product became useless. Griffin Technology wasn't able to replace because they only offer 1 year warranty. :-(
