Here's the deal... I got this item for 7 bucks from a seller. It arrived new in original package with simple to follow instructions. I plugged it up, plugged it in and it works. Easy enough. Drove around a bit, turned the car off... Waited a few minutes, restarted it, it worked. The sound quality was great for a $7 item.

Was I foolish enough to get this item and then expect it to be Bose quality in a 97 Toyota Camry with stock speakers? NO! All these people boohoo'ing because the sound quality isn't perfect need to get over it. I dunno how much they paid for it but for cryin out loud, you got a cheap item for a cheap price. If it works pretty well then GOOD. If not, then go to some other item and spend $150 on that.

If you want a Bose quality piece of equipment, then don't buy the 7, 10, 20 dollar knock off item! If you want an affordable alternative to those ghetto tape deck majiggers that you get from Wally World then get this cool little doohickey.

Now for my review review:

1. As I said, original packing and easy to follow instructions. Not really even needed considering you can plug it up and set it in the cradle.

2. I drive like a maniac so I'd always put my ipod in my passenger seat, and when I take my Mario Andretti turns around the corner WHOOSH -- there goes my ipod off the seat and into the passenger door... CRAP! Well -- no more. The snake arm which seems pretty durable and can actually hold the ipod up keeps it in a safe place and in good view of the driver so I can switch songs.

3. The only questionable device in this thing was the remote. From what I could tell it worked maybe 50% of the time, but I can just as easily reach forward and hit the next button as opposed to keeping track of a remote the size of a Zippo.

4. My favorite part is that it can charge while it plays. as I said before I had the little tape deck thing that only plugged in like a headset and played through the tape deck. It didn't charge my ipod. but this does! pretty cool.

I'd recommend this item if you're looking for a cheap doohickey to play your ipod through.

This actually works pretty good wit my IPOD Touch.. Signal comes in very clear and sound quality is good. Only small thing is it disconnects n stops playing music at times.. But as soonas you hit play button on your IPOD it starts back up. I would recommend anyone to purchase this

This item worked as advertised until the digital readout of the station the unit was tuned to quit working. Now, I have to turn on the ipod and flip channels on the radio to figure out which station this unit is operating on. Not that big a deal as long as you stay on the same channel all the time, but when you travel out of town and start getting static, its a pain!

I really needed a way to listen to audio books in my older car. I was pretty skeptical of this actually working. Well, it works great in the area where I live. It charges my iphone and holds it up nicely so that I can easily tap the screen without holding it. Makes life much easier. I haven't tried charging anything (like my Bluetooth headset) in the side usb port (if that actually works, it will be amazing). So I get good sound, just a little hissing here and there with audio books which you can't really hear when listening to music. It charges the device and possibly an headset. What's not to like if you have FM space available to use it in your area. Awesome Device!

this item is not worth it, there were no directions in the packaging, very poor reception. On the bright side, it fit perfectly and was a good fit fot the Nano.
